NEW INFO FOR THIS WEEK…

iCademy/Innocademy Family In Need…

As I shared in the email Friday morning, one of our iCademy Global students, Anya Dibkey, sister of Logan at Innocademy, has been struggling with Crohn’s disease for many years. Over the course of the last 3 weeks, however, Anya has endured 6 surgeries.
As of Friday morning…after the 6th surgery… doctors are hopeful that she is on a good path and will not have to have another for the next 3-6 months.
As you can imagine, the stress of an ill child, mounting medical expenses and being 2-1/2 hrs from home has been a heavy burden for Anya‘s family to bear.  As a result, her Aunt has set up a GoFundMe page for those of you who would be interested in supporting this family. Thank you for your generosity!

Congratulations on a GREAT Soccer Season!

As you know, this year was the FIRST season for girls’ 7/8th grade soccer at Innocademy & iCademy Global! We were excited to partner with Corpus Christi to form a team!

The ladies just completed a very successful season (4-4).  Trina and Annabelle, Innocademy students, had a great time contributing to the team and making some new friends.

Girls On The Run – Community Impact Project

As part of a Community Impact Project, the Innocademy and iCademy Global girls from Girls on The Run are hosting a bake sale to raise funds to benefit the Humane Society. Baked goods will be available in the Re-Fuel Cafe, all day, Monday-Thursday this next week.

The girls are also collecting items for the animal shelter. Those items can be placed on the designated table in RE:FUEL

If your family would like to support the girls’ hard work by making a donation  (goody or item for the shelter), please take a look at the sign up list below:

Healthy Habits

With the end of the year approaching, we wanted to spend some time reminding our families about the importance of focused school work on the iCademy Global devices. We have noticed an uptick in the use of google hangouts during school time and it has not been for academic purposes. It has been a distraction for some students. Please talk with your students about boundaries and healthy habits as a virtual learner as we are continuing to do the same.

Middle School Showcase Reminder

Thursday, June 15th is our Middle School Celebration. Here, 8th graders will be receiving awards as they graduate from our middle school and step into their new journey of high school. We will also be hosting our middle school showcase after the awards ceremony. Parents are welcome to attend both of these events starting at 9:30 am on Thursday the 15th. Each student, whether virtual or students who come on site will be participating in this event where they will be showcasing something from their year that they are either proud of, that pushed them out of their comfort zone, or that inspired them to think outside of themselves. We are prepping for this event in class, but please talk to your child/ren about it! It is going to be great!

Career Pathways Experience- Innogroup Visit

Save the date of our next career field experience! Tuesday, June 6th, 9:00am – 12:00pm. Meet at Homestead campus at 8:30 am and transportation will be provided.

Check out the details contained HERE for more information!

Fuzzy Peach Middle School Dance Fundraiser

The middle school dance committee is hosting a night at Fuzzy Peach in Zeeland to help raise money for the dance. We thought it might be good to hold it during the kids May break week. It will be on Tuesday May 30th from 7-9 pm.
