What do I do if my child is experiencing a technical problem with their  Dell tablet?

As with any electronic device, you may experience technical issues from time to time. If a problem occurs and you need help, please contact Dell Gold Level support.

So that you receive the appropriate level of support, is it very important that you communicate that your device belongs to iCademy Global. Additionally, you will need to know your your device’s Service Tag ID Number (also know as your Dell Express Service Code). Please watch the following video. Please watch the following short video to help you locate this information https://db.tt/xofuCpOV.

Once you’ve located the service tag ID number, or express service code, call 866-876-3355, choose option 2, and then enter your tablet’s ID.

Once you reach a Dell Gold Level support technician, make sure you tell them you are an iCademy Global student or parent. Again, this will ensure prompt attention and that he or she has the appropriate details to solve your tablet issue.

SCHOOL CLOSING:  Please check WOOD-TV or WZZM for school closing information. We are listed as “iCademy Global”.  If we are closed the blended learning time and the Learning Cafe will be closed at the Homestead Campus. Your student(s) will still be able to continue their coursework at home and staff will be available via Canvas, e-mail, and through your on-line curriculum. Check with your learning coach or teacher if you have scheduled an appointment to see if you will still meet. Remember to download the app from WOOD-TV and WZZM to receive a notification in the event of a school closing.

BUILDING SECURITY: When dropping off and picking up your student(s) you will notice that a key card security system is now installed at iCademy’s main entrance. This is to ensure the safety and security of all our students.  We have had a delays in securing the key cards, but they have been ordered and should be here shortly. Many of our families signed up the first day of school to receive a key card to access the building. We will notify you when they are ready to be picked up. These cards will be active from 8:30-3:45.  Outside of those times the cards will not work.  In the meantime we appreciate your patience as we try to answer the door as promptly as we can.  If you did not sign up to receive a card and would like one please contact Mr. Andy at andy.meredith@icademyglobal.org The cost for a card is $5.

Learning Cafe Setup – Hopefully your student has told you about a change in our learning cafe setup.  Our content teachers have each set up “class” in a designated area of the learning cafe.  So, there is a math area, social studies area, science area, etc… This change will hopefully help students better manage their time, practice great study skills, and help them to easily find the content specialist they need. For example if your student needs some help in math, Ms. Nan is set up at a table clearly labeled “Math”.  This way the content specialists are very easy to identify and there is study space set up by each content area to better help our students learn. Below See Mr. Andy in his area. Mr. Andy,  what does the fox say?
