Caring for our Community at the Holiday’s
We are so thankful for the caring community that iCademy Global is. We have the opportunity to care for some of our own families this holiday season. Please follow the link below to help. All donated items need to be dropped off to Ms. Deedee in the K-5 room by Wednesday evening. Please leave items unwrapped. Gently used jackets of all sizes are also appreciated! Thank you for helping us take care of each other!

Zipper Labs Needs Our Cyber Help – Just Click!
Our own Mr. Phil of Zipper Labs has submitted an idea to Start Garden! The project is called exhibit.io. After 7 days the winner gets $5,000 but more importantly, we get access to larger rounds of funding in the coming months.
One of these two pilot projects would be loading up the future Greenhouse at Homestead with sensors and connecting it to a dashboard here at school.
Mr. Phil needs our help! Could you please visit the link and endorse it? Here is the link: http://startgarden.com/ideas/detail/exhibit.io You’ll have to log in with Facebook info but Mr. Phil promises that it won’t spam you or post anything. Thank you!!

CHECK IT OUT!
We have a few new exciting news outlets that everyone should check out.
The high school now has a newsletter called “High school Highlights”. If you have a high school student, this is a great way to stay up to date with everything that is happening academically and socially in the high school area. This newsletter is attached below and you will be able to find it here every week.
There is now a K-5 blog! This blog will be a fantastic place to see what is going on in the K-5 area. So if you have a student in the K-5 program, click on the link below and check out what exiting and educational things are going on in their classrooms!
We’re making our list and checking it twice… and it looks like Christmas break is coming up soon! This will be a 2 week long break that starts on Saturday, December 2oth and ends Sunday, January 4th. Teachers will have limited availability at this time but if your student is all caught up, they can relax and enjoy the holiday season! During our two break weeks students that are not on track are encouraged to continue to work. Mr. Garrett will once again be assisting students to unblock assignments. You can reach Mr. Garrett at firstname.lastname@example.org or text/call (810)624-9370.
WEEKLY PROGRESS CHECK
Are you wondering where your students progress should be? Let’s do some quick math. We just completed our 14th week of school. Students should be doing roughly 5.5% progress in each class each week to stay on track. So, by the end of this week students should be around 77% progress in each of their classes. This number may flex a little either way depending on the weight of the assignments for the week. Another way to track progress is to simply look at the due dates. Every assignment given has a due date, so you can also monitor if your student is on track by looking at the due dates for assignments. If you have questions about your students progress please contact your students learning coach.
Here are some goals to think about for the next week so that Winter break can be a relaxing one:
By December 19th- 79% per class or 476% total
