REMINDER:

State of Michigan Count Day for all students is Wednesday, October 3rd. All students must log into EVERY class content for a few minutes. Please look in each of your classes for specific “count day” activities set up by teachers for that day. We are hoping each of our students can complete all of their official logins by noon. Our teachers will be keeping extra close track that day and making contact with families of students who have not yet logged in. Students can begin their daily tasks as early as they wish that day…5am? 6am? 7am? Go for it! Thanks, in advance, for your help!

NEW Info For This Week!

State of Michigan Count Day – Wed., Oct 3rd

Just a reminder that on Wednesday, October 3rd, every student attending public school in the State of Michigan will be “counted”. The state will base its funding to iCademy Global based on how many students log into their classes that day for at least 1 minute. Please, make sure the student or students in your household log into EACH of their 6 courses on that day for at least 1 minute. Thanks, in advance, for your help!

iCademy Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

It seems like we just started the school year, but it is already time for Fall Conferences. They are on Tuesday, October 9, from and Wednesday, October 10. Please check the individual sign ups for time slots. These are not your typical Parent/Teacher conferences where you chat with each teacher about individual courses. These are all about your kiddo’s overall academics and who he/she is whole child. Therefore, it will primarily be run by YOUR KIDDO!

If you have not done so, already, please sign up for a time at the link, below:

HIGH SCHOOL : Conference Sign Up

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Conference Sign Up

K-5: Your conferences will be during your regularly scheduled Live Lesson time with your teachers.

Art Prize Fun!

Thanks to all that were able to join us for the super fun Art Prize day last week! So great to see everyone “live and in person” as well as spend some time exploring the city and taking in the amazing art! If you haven’t seen Mr. Brett’s cool video, yet, here you go! Definitely worth the 1 minute watch! Thanks, Mr. Brett!

Have You Met Ms. Amy?

We feel incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Amy Brouwer joining us this year as part of the iCademy Team! If you visit Homestead Campus you will see Ms. Amy’s smiling face in the RE:FUEL Cafe’ Area as our staff member for the coffee shop. Ms. Amy loves working with our iCademy students on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as making sure our coffee shop runs smoothly. If you are ever on campus, stop by and introduce yourself. Ms. Amy would love to meet you!

Old Info…Just in case =)

Parent/Student Conferences

Please watch your email for a sign up, soon, regarding parent/student conferences. These will be taking place in the Virtual Offices through Zoom on October 9th from 12pm – 7pm and October 10th from 10am – 3pm. You will want to choose a time where both you, as the parent, and your student can be present.

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

We are excited to invite everyone to our Scholastic Book Fair being held the week of October 8th! Huge thanks to Carolyn Fitzgerald for coordinating! The book fair will be open for students to visit and purchase, if they wish!  In order for the book fair to be “open” we need volunteers to help staff it – – no experience necessary! If you are able to help during the week, please click on the link (you will need to create a Scholastic Account before accessing the sign up)

Family Stewardship Opportunity

The Alliance for The Great Lakes is Adopting Beaches!

Grab your family or friends, bring a bucket or trash bag and jump on in to the Adopt a Beach Event starting at 10:00 am on October 6 at Tunnel Park in Holland.

Schools and groups can register by visiting The Alliance for The Great Lakes website.

Stewardship Opportunity – Aid For The Carolinas

As you all know, Hurricane Florence is hitting the Carolinas hard. At iCademy Global, stewardship (thinking outside of ourselves) is a foundation of ours. Not only do we intentionally learn this but we want to also intentionally LIVE this. Attached you will see a few images of ways that we can help. Partnering with International Aid and The Tin Roof Market- we would like to provide you and your family a stewardship opportunity to donate items for International Aid to send to the Carolinas. The Tin Roof Market of Holland is an official drop off for these items and we will be collecting items at Homestead starting Tuesday the 18th and delivering them to The Tin Roof on a weekly basis. Any donation helps! For more information, send Ms. Mel a zoom!
