CLASSROOM & DAYCARE HELP NEEDED

Are you looking for a part-time job for one day or maybe two or three a week, sometimes? Do you enjoy working with children? Are you available from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on a school day? We are looking for parents who can help be substitute teachers in our classrooms at Innocademy.  When they are out, teachers leave a detailed schedule and lesson plans for a substitute to follow, easily, so students can continue their learning.

We also have an opening for someone to help in our staff daycare, if you’d rather work with young children from 3 months – 4 years old, instead.  If you would like to learn more about either one of these positions, please reach out to Jessenia.martinez@innocademy.com.

COUNSELING INFORMATION FROM MS. LAURA

It is scheduling time! One of my favorite parts of the year because I get to meet individually with students to have a look at credits earned this year, and what next year’s courses will look like. In these meetings, we discuss interests, post-secondary plans, and the classes/opportunities we can weave into your schedule that will be best for you. Please make an appointment here

Thinking of opportunities, this week in seminar I shared some spring and summer job and learning opportunities available to students. These are just a drop in the bucket – there are many more out there! I encourage you to check these out as a family.

Future Prep’d IChallengeU is a 2-week Design Thinking Challenge through CTC. You would meet at a business each day from 8:30am-3pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am-11am on Fridays to solve a challenge. Working with other students, you would follow our Design Thinking Model, the Creative Sequence, and come up with a real solution for the business.  We provide all your meals, snacks, and supplies.  Also, you have an opportunity to win scholarship money.  The program is a great internship to put on a resume and use for college interviews.  You will be able work on your 21st century skills like team building, communication, flexibility, presentation skills, and innovation.  The cost is $50 for the 2 weeks. CTC can help with this if needed also. You will meet from July 11th-22nd at a local business in your area.  Here’s a promo videoSign-up here.
