Thank YOU!

Thanks to all of our families for working so hard to get kiddos checked in for count day! Exceptional effort! Our next student count day is Wednesday, February 13th.

Fifteen education students from Aquinas College visited with us on Wednesday this past week to learn about virtual schools. What fun for them to see our school and teachers live and in action!

NEW Info For This Week!

Looking Forward To “Seeing” You at Conferences THIS WEEK!

If you and your middle and/or high school student haven’t yet signed up to meet with your student’s teachers, please do so, asap. K-5 conferences will happen during your live lesson time with your teacher. Fall conferences for middle/high school are on Tuesday, October 9, and Wednesday, October 10. Please check the individual sign ups, below, for time slots. These are not your typical Parent/Teacher conferences where you chat with each teacher about individual courses. These are all about your kiddo’s overall academics and who he/she is whole child. Therefore, it will primarily be run by YOUR KIDDO!

If you have not done so, already, please sign up for a time at the link, below:

HIGH SCHOOL : Conference Sign Up

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Conference Sign Up

K-5: Your conferences will be during your regularly scheduled Live Lesson time with your teachers.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser – You’re Invited!

Precademy, Innocademy and iCademy families,
We have a fun opportunity for you to enjoy with your kids and it helps our High Schoolers with their capstone trip this year.
We want to invite you to a Pancake Breakfast on October 25th
from 8am-9am, right before school starts. Even if you finish eating early, we’ll watch your kids if you have to get to work. It will be a fun time for your kids to show off their school and friends while enjoying breakfast with you!
We ask that you consider a minimum donation of $5 per plate towards an opportunity for our HS students to travel with their class this year. We will have multiple options for donations: cash and online.
Super easy, small commitment, GREAT EVENT!
*Please RSVP by October 17th, so we can order enough food for everyone.
Can’t wait to see you there!

Scholastic Book Fair is HERE!

We are excited to invite everyone to our Scholastic Book Fair being this week! Huge thanks to Carolyn Fitzgerald for coordinating! The book fair will be open for students to visit and purchase, if they wish!  In order for the book fair to be “open” we need volunteers to help staff it – – no experience necessary! If you are able to help during the week, please click on the link (you will need to create a Scholastic Account before accessing the sign up)

Ms. Kris’ Corner

According to experts at empoweringparents.com, one of the best ways to help motivate your student to be successful in school is to “keep a relationship with your kids that is open, respectful and positive”. By helping them feel supported and encouraged by you, they are more likely to open up and listen than when parents are punishing or threatening them.

Tip: If/when your student is struggling, encourage them to reach out to their teacher for help instead of avoiding the work.

Stewardship Opportunity – Aid For The Carolinas

As you all know, Hurricane Florence is hitting the Carolinas hard. At iCademy Global, stewardship (thinking outside of ourselves) is a foundation of ours. Not only do we intentionally learn this but we want to also intentionally LIVE this. Attached you will see a few images of ways that we can help. Partnering with International Aid and The Tin Roof Market- we would like to provide you and your family a stewardship opportunity to donate items for International Aid to send to the Carolinas. The Tin Roof Market of Holland is an official drop off for these items and we will be collecting items at Homestead starting Tuesday the 18th and delivering them to The Tin Roof on a weekly basis. Any donation helps! For more information, send Ms. Mel a zoom!
