AliGrace started iCademy her freshman year. When she graduates, she plans to pursue a career teaching martial arts. When asked how she became interested in martial arts, she said, “I took my first class on a whim and loved it! iCademy gave me the flexibility to take taekwondo classes while staying on track with my school work.”
Virtual, Not Alone
“My favorite memory from iCademy is participating in the reading club with my 5th grade reading buddy,” AliGrace said. Clubs, live lessons and extracurriculars like Dutch dancing during Tulip Time have kept her social throughout her time at iCademy. “I’m proud of making so many friends during high school,” she said.
Helpful Teachers
AliGrace has enjoyed her time at iCademy because it has given her the opportunity to take control of her education. “The teachers let us take the lead with our work but also provide specific learning support if we need it,” she said.
AliGrace has found that going to iCademy helped her grow in her time management skills. “Whenever I felt like I was falling behind, my teachers taught me how to prioritize my work amongst my other activities,” she said.
