Alora has been an iCademy student for her entire high school career. She dreams of pursuing her passion as a graphic artist once she graduates, a career she first became interested in after taking an elective at iCademy. That class gave her the foundation she needed to explore graphic design on her own. She is inspired by the different career paths in front of her and is interested in how graphic design integrates with HVAC systems.   

Knowing Your Learning Style

iCademy taught Alora that her preferred learning style is virtual. Knowing this helped Alora pursue career paths suited to the way she enjoys working. When asked if she would recommend iCademy to other students thinking about pursuing virtual school, Alora said, “Absolutely! The support from teachers is amazing and has helped me succeed in my classes.” 

Alora is proud of maintaining good grades and increasing her confidence while attending iCademy. Taking classes virtually has helped her diversify her communication skills and gave her practice using different types of technology.

Time For Every Hobby

Being an iCademy student gave Alora the opportunity to participate in many extracurricular activities. She enjoyed attending the careerline tech center where she made friends and improved her graphic design skills. She also participates on a speed skating team, composes music, gardens and makes videos for her YouTube channel.
