CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations to Grace on her recent performance at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Singles Challenge held at Suburban Ice Arena in Lansing. Grace qualified to advance to the Midwestern Sectional Championships in Texas to be held November 13-16, 2019! What a fantastic opportunity! Good luck, Grace! We can’t wait to hear about it!

Congratulations also to another of our iCademy families as their kiddos recently took part in the National Rabbit Breeder’s Association Annual Convention in Reno, Nevada. All 3 kids competed in the Royalty Competition which requires they write a 5 page essay to even apply! During the competition they interviewed with judges, completed a 200 question exam, participated in a quiz bowl, showmanship and judging of rabbits. Jadelyn defended her 2018 National Rabbit Princess title, earning the 2019 Rabbit Princess title. Xander competed in a tough class of young men to earn Runner-Up to the Duke. Moria and Jadelyn were on the National Breed ID team that took first for the 2nd year in a row. Wow!! Congratulations to all!!!

Bodies Revealed – MS and HS Science Field Trip

Mark your calendars for November 21st as our Middle and High School groups will be leaving from iCademy or meeting at the Grand Rapids Public Museum to experience the exhibit Bodies Revealed.

In this phenomenal exhibition about the amazing and complex machine we call the human body, 10 full body human specimens and hundreds of organs are respectfully displayed to tell the story of the miraculous systems at work within each of us. With a reverent, academic approach, this display allows people of all ages to more closely observe the skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and circulatory systems, and to absorb information normally reserved only for medical professionals.

Cost will be $10 per person – I think the sign up might mistakenly say $11, but $10 is the real deal ($3 for museum entry and $7 entry to the exhibit, itself).

Please click on the link, below for more details and to let us know if you are attending and if you will be meeting us there or need a ride from school.

Fundraising Opportunities

Fundraising season has begun at Innocademy & iCademy Global! Fundraisers are designed for your kiddo to earn money to put into his/her field experience account for overnight travel on some of the incredible experiences offered by both schools.  Fundraisers are always optional and never required.  Before break we rolled out our first fundraisers of the year, Marketplace & SaveAround Coupon Books.  All 3rd-8th graders were presented with the information attached here and were sent home with the information for both fundraisers.  If you have a Younger/Youngest friend (Young 5-2nd) and you would like to have him/her start saving for their overnight trips, you may participate in the SaveAround Coupon Book sale. Below is the information needed for both fundraisers.

Another fundraiser we offer is SCRIP.  SCRIP at its core is a gift card fundraiser.  You purchase a gift card from list of over 700 vendors and percentage of your purchase (2-20%) goes back into your child’s account for field experiences.  This is a very short video about how SCRIP works.  There will be an informational meeting on Thursday October 24, at 4:00 in the circle room, the small room at the top of the stairs. Please reach out to Ms. Jody at jody.voss@innocademy.com with questions.
