iCademy High School Capstone Trip – Southwestern United States
Wow! What a week our travelers have had! They’ve visited the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Zion National Park and helped out at Feed My Starving Children, packing enough meals to feed 15 children in Honduras for an ENTIRE YEAR!! Can’t wait to hear about their amazing adventures! And special thanks to high school traveler, Greg for some of these amazing shots!
Congratulations to iCademy Globetrotters Robotics Team #5927
Last weekend, March 7-9, the iCademy Globertrotters Robotics team traveled to Saint Joe for the FIRST Robotics Competition. The Globetrotters ranked 15th overall and won 8 matches. This was the first competition for our drivers, but they did incredible! In the playoffs the Globetrotters were on Alliance 7 with Team 4216, Blue Ops Robotics, and team 9763, Cast Iron Clippers. The Globetrotters had a great competition and are preparing to be even better at the next taking place at GVSU Field House March 21-23. Feel free to come on out, support our team and have a blast watching the matches!

Sex Education Advisory Board Members Needed
I hope this email finds you well. We are excited to announce the formation of our first Sex Education Advisory Board at iCademy Global and would like to invite you to apply for a position on this important committee!
The Sex Education Advisory Board is a requirement from Michigan’s Department of Education and plays a vital role in ensuring that our sex education curriculum is comprehensive, age-appropriate, and aligned with the values and expectations of our school community. We believe that your insight and perspective as a parent will be invaluable in contributing to the success of this initiative. This is a two- year commitment (which is why we have sent this invitation up to 10th grade parents and guardians).
The Sex Education Board is responsible for:
- Establishing program goals and objectives for pupil knowledge and skills that are likely to reduce the rates of sex, pregnancy and STIs
- Reviewing and recommending materials and methods of instruction to the local school board, taking into consideration the district’s needs, demographics and trends.
- Evaluating, measuring and reporting the attainment of the program goals and objectives and making the resulting report available to parents in the district at least once every two years
- Collaborating with educators, administrators, and fellow parents to enhance the overall quality of sex education at our school.
If you are passionate about contributing to the development of a well-rounded and effective sex education program and would like to apply for a position on the advisory board, please click on the following link to fill out the application form: [https://forms.gle/cw2tSaESZdqyR4nZA].
We are looking forward to assembling a diverse and committed group of parents who are dedicated to supporting the well-being and education of our students.
