CONGRATULATIONS iCADEMY GLOBETROTTERS ROBOTICS TEAM #5927
The Globetrotters, iCademy’s High School robotics team, competed this past weekend against 30 other teams from around the state of Michigan at the West Michigan Robotics Invitational.
The team worked with their alliance (St. Joseph and Ludington) to win an upset victory against the number 2 ranked alliance and head to the finals against two world champion teams and a state finalist. The Globetrotters were able to sneak out a win against the number 1 alliance but ended up falling to them in the final tiebreaker match of the event. They ended finishing as runners-up at WMRI.
It was an event full of ups and downs, tough competition, and amazing teamwork. Please take the opportunity to congratulate the Globetrotters on their great event, and to wish them luck as the 2023 season kicks off in January!

FAMILY PERCEPTION SURVEY
It is hard to believe it is already the end of October and we are half way through the semester. In an effort to celebrate what has gone well so far this year and areas we can continue to grow we are seeking your input.
Each fall we collect family, student, and staff perception data. The data is compiled and used to develop our School Improvement Plan. Your participation has a direct impact on our school-wide goals and measurable outcomes.

CAPSTONE TRAVEL – FUDGE FUNDRAISER – DUE THIS WEEK – NOVEMBER 3RD
This week we launched our first fundraiser with some yummy goodness from Original Mackinac Island Fudge Co. You know and love the fudge and sweet treats of Mackinac – now you can have it just in time for the holidays! Below are the basics:
Cost – $8 per item
Earnings – $4 per item
Order forms are due to school on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022.
Delivery TO SCHOOL will be Thursday, Nov 17, 2022 – IMPORTANT: While the sale is open to all, families MUST be able to pick up fudge at school (8485 Homestead Dr., Zeeland) for delivery on November 17th as we will be unable to store it here or ship it to you.
Fudge will be:
- good for 4-6 weeks or can be frozen for up to 12 weeks
- will be individually sealed and wrapped
- The same 8oz size you would be getting in Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island

OK, Hand2Hand is firing up again for the year, and attached is the sign-up form. A few things to know:

- Hand2Hand is a weekly food bag distribution, provided by Vertical Church (yay to them for this partnership!!). Read the attachment for more info.
- There are no qualifications, other than just signing and returning the form. Families can continue to sign up throughout the year.
- Bags are distributed on Thursday mornings and we attempt to put in lockers/cubbies during the lunch hour.
